Sowbagya is a global talent leader with over 12 years of experience building high-performing teams across the financial services and technology sectors. As Head of Talent at Tag Software Group, she leads talent strategy across the investment organization and portfolio companies, driving executive recruitment, leadership development, and long-term workforce planning to support scalable growth.

Sowbagya brings deep expertise in aligning talent acquisition with business goals, fostering inclusive leadership, and delivering exceptional retention outcomes. Prior to her current role, she held executive roles at Boyden, where she served as Managing Partner and helped lead the successful integration of boutique executive search firm FPIA Partners into the global Boyden network. She was a trusted advisor to asset managers, private equity firms, and fintech leaders, designing bespoke recruitment strategies that supported diversity and long-term succession planning.

Earlier in her career, Sowbagya served as Talent Acquisition Manager at D.E. Shaw and held leadership roles at Interasia Pvt Ltd. Her global experience spans North America, Europe, and Asia, and she is recognized for her ability to build enduring relationships with senior leaders while managing complex, multi-stakeholder hiring initiatives.

Sowbagya holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the Madras School of Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Stella Maris College. She also completed marketing management studies at New York University. Known for her strategic mindset and operational excellence, she plays a pivotal role in shaping Tag Software Group’s people-first culture.
